Kaleigh's birth went really quick once they got to hospital....

 

"we had our little one on 1st Feb at 38 weeks. 

Birth was fairly quick from start to finish, surges started at 11pm at home. We went to the hospital at around 4am but were sent home because was only 1cm.

Got back into bed at home at around 5.30 am and started watching a movie and using the breathing techniques you taught us to distract from the surges and once they ramped up a bit I sat on my birthing ball leaning over the bed listening to your hypnosis audios to get through the surges which were feeling pretty strong by that point.

 

At just after 9 we headed out to the hospital again as contractions were consistently 3mins apart. We got to hospital just before 10am And had a room in their birthing suite. I was examined and found to be at 3cm. I got through the surges with just the breathing techniques and listened to some relaxation music, the last few surges were really strong so I had a couple of puffs on the gas and air but it made me feel ill so I gave up on that pretty quickly and before i knew it my body was pushing.

 

After only 5 pushes he was out 😮 born at 11.39 am only an hour and a half after getting to the hospital! We were home by 5 that evening.
