Massages

Who doesn't love a massage?
Here you'll find options for massage for YOU (and even your partner!)

Pregnancy Massage
Massage is a wonderful way to help you relax while pregnant. It gives you "me" time, a time and space to really focus on yourself, and forget about all the other things you need to 'do'. It's the perfect opportunity to let go and release stress and tension.

Pregnancy comes with alot of changes, physically and mentally. I provide you a warm space where you can just let go, and feel the softness and comfort of your nervous system shifting, releasing the wonderful fuzzy loved feeling of oxytocin flowing.
While you drift away on a lovely soft fluffy cloud of relaxation, I'll work on those aches and pains, helping you feel more comfortable, calm and relaxed.
Benefits of Pregnancy Massage are:
-
Relieves back ache
-
Helps to release stiffness and tension in your shoulders/neck
-
Can greatly reduce swelling in legs, hands & feet
-
Improves circulation
-
Relieves muscle cramps
-
Helps relieve sciatica
-
Helps release feel good hormones, oxytocin and endorphins
-
Baby benefits from the relaxation and hormones released
-
Gives you space and time to just let go of any daily stresses

We'll find you a lovely comfy position, using lots of bolsters and cushions. You'll be lying either in a side-lying position, semi-reclined or seated position, depending on which stage of pregnancy you're in, and the treatment required.

I use organic, cold-pressed oils so that there's no worry of strong smells (we know how much pregnancy can alter those senses!).
Postnatal Massage
Your body goes through huge changes after your baby's birth. It can take a year or more for your body to get back to normal. With a newborn, it's so easy to forget to look after yourself, or find time to have a little "me" time.

Let me pamper you and help you to relax.

Don't worry if you can't find someone to look after your baby. You're very welcome to bring your baby along too. Your baby can snuggle up next to you on the massage table, you can even breastfeed whilst enjoying massage, or your baby can sleep nearby.
We can work around your baby's feeding or sleep. Or would you prefer me to come to your home and massage you on your own bed, with your baby snuggled up next to you? That's also possible!
Benefits of Postnatal Massage are:
-
Relieves any aches and pains
-
Helps to de-stress
-
Eases shoulder tension from breastfeeding/carrying baby
-
Relieves muscle cramps
-
Helps release feel good hormones which can lift your mood
-
Helps your tummy to recover
-
Speeds healing and recovery time
-
Improves breastfeeding
-
Improves your sleep
-
Breast massage (optional) helps relieve discomfort

We'll get you nice and comfy using bolsters and cushions. You'll be in a side-lying position, on your front, on your back, semi-reclined or seated (depends if you have any discomfort in your breasts if you're breastfeeding your baby).
Holistic, Deep Tissue Massage & Trigger Point Therapy
If you're not pregnant, and you feel you would like a deeper pressure, then how about a holistic, deep tissue massage?

Deep Tissue Massage Therapy (also referred to as myofascial release) works on releasing the deeper myofascial restrictions of the deeper muscles, tendons and ligaments.

I use advanced massage techniques that are very slow and deep strokes, with direct pressure or friction applied on the muscles. If restricted, knotty or painful areas are detected, then I can use trigger point therapy to release those areas, relieving pain and tension.

Deep Tissue Massage can be beneficial for a wide range of issues, including:
-
Trapped nerves (eg. Sciatica, Piriformis Syndrome)
-
Chronic pain
-
Shoulder and neck pain
-
Repetitive strain injury (eg. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome)
-
Muscle tension (eg. glutes, hamstrings, IT band, legs, upper back)
-
Injury recovery (eg. whiplash)
-
Headaches
-
Fibromyalgia
-
Tennis Elbow, Frozen Shoulder, Runners Knee etc.
-
Plus much more!

During this treatment, considerable amount of pressure is used, which in some cases may cause some discomfort; however, I will always work within your comfort zone. The treatment will be individually tailored to suit your needs.
